Muvar Testivar 2008

Guys,

do any of you use the multivariate optimization script called Muvar or Muvar 2008 or Testivar?

This is a script developed by James Brausch (Diego Norte) that originally retailed for $300

Now it is off the market and only used in his internal business program or available via resellers that still haven't shifted it. But I followed his blog and even purchased products such as the customer support software and The Internet Business Book (1st one) (the crazy thing is - this book doesn't seem to be available anymore on Amazon even though it is the only one worth reading in the series IMO).

I was inspired to build an improved version of Muvar which I am starting to use on this site. My understanding is that the Muvar software does the job but is very basic in the admin area and really dumbed down for newbie use.

So my version is like a professional tool that works like other scripts that self install and have nice admin areas etc.

Also, I am offering customer support in forums. So I think everyone that purchased Muvar will want to at least try out my improved version since it is better IMO, more user-friendly and has support. All cred to James though for inventing the idea in the first place.

For example, my version uses a database rather than writing text files to a server (how dumb/lazy/insecure is that?).

But I welcome your input on this matter, especially if you are an avid user/fan of Muvar or Testivar ...

Hi,

my software installs as a PHP script. You log into an admin area and set up groups of web page elements that you wish to optimize for a particular goal. You can have many groups covering different sites and web pages.

You start by setting up variants of your elements under test. As time goes by, the script adjusts the weights of exposure for each variant according to how often they are part of a goal conversion. You can add and delete variants anytime without upsetting the balance of the weightings, so you can remove non-performing variants and try out new ones.

Sorry if this sounds complicated, but I plan to produce a video tutorial and demonstration video which should show the software in action and how easy it is to use.

As regards price, there will be an initial launch at a discounted price at maybe $47 as opposed to the normal retail price of $105. Prices subject to change following price testing.

Launch date not planned yet. I wanted to use the script myself for a while, but I guess I should push on and roll out the product.

I am happy that the code is fine. Now I need to make the tutorial videos, the sales page and the payment processing.

So this is why I set the date at 31st of July.

Excuses for the delay: It is summer, I trade stocks for my major income and the profits are many times higher than anything related to online marketing, it is too hot and humid to do online work

But we should always look for ways to diversify our income sources IMO.

Well I have slipped the launch date ...

But, I have been producing online tutorials about how to use this software. My worry was that people may buy and download this fairly sophisticated software and then wonder what to do with it.
